Nella scorsa notte italiana sono stati assegnati gli MTV Movie & TV Awards 2023, i premi che la celebre emittente assegna a film e serie tv dal gusto più popolare e commerciale che si sono particolarmente distinti nel corso dell’ultima annata. 

Nel 2022 aveva fatto piazza pulita di premi il Marvel Cinematic Universe tra Loki, Spider-Man No Way Home e Black Widow, mentre quest’anno si sono dovuti accontentare del premio come Miglior Villain per Elizabeth Olsen e la sua Scarlet Witch in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. A trionfare è sicuramente Jenna Ortega: la giovane interprete non ha solo vinto il premio come Miglior Performance in una serie tv per Mercoledì, ma è anche nel cast di Scream VI che è stato scelto come Miglior Film dell’anno – a discapito di film Avatar: The Way of Water, Top Gun: Maverick e Nope.

Tom Cruise può consolarsi con il premio come Miglior Performance in un film, ma tra chi può davvero esultare ci sono sicuramente Pedro Pascal e Bella Ramsey: i due sono stati premiati come Miglior Coppia per The Last of Us, adattamento HBO eletto anche Miglior serie dell’anno. L’interprete di Joel si porta a casa anche il riconoscimento come Miglior Eroe, anche se ci sarebbe molto da discutere a riguardo…
